Quality and Risk Management

An integrated approach toward Quality and Risk management is utilized, working in conjunction with other hospital departments, Safety Committee and Medical Staff. The Quality and Risk Management department works with Administration in compliance activities related to regulatory and accreditation agencies; Human Resources in the management of employee-related incidents; the Plant Operations Manager/Safety Officer in managing environment of care and life safety issues; Health Information Services in ensuring confidentiality of medical records and assisting with litigations; and all other clinical and non-clinical departments in the development and monitoring of hospital-wide quality indicators.

The Quality and Risk Management department provides services to prevent, minimize, and control liability, fiduciary loss, property loss, litigation and malpractice with a focus on performance improvement while providing for the safety of patients, visitors and staff within Vista Hospital of San Gabriel Valley.
