Laboratory Department

The Clinical Laboratory at Vista Hospital of San Gabriel provides accurate and timely laboratory testing services for patients within the hospital and the community. The Laboratory strives to deliver services in the most clinically relevant and cost-effective manner by intelligently applying its sources of dedicated professional, leading edge technology and advanced Laboratory Information System.

The Clinical Laboratory is licensed by California State Department of Health Services, Accredited by Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program, a program of the American Osteopathic Association and is certifies under the department of Health Services for CLIA.  The Laboratory participates in proficiency testing through the College of American Pathologists (CAP).

Laboratory adheres to the regulations and guidelines outlined by the State of California Business Professional Code, OSHA, AOA and other regulatory agencies.  All employees are careful to honor patient rights, especially those dealing with confidential information. 

The laboratory is staffed twenty four (24) hours a day, seven days per week for inpatients. The services provided on-site, includes: Hematology, Coagulation, Chemistry, Blood Bank, Microbiology, Urinalysis, Point of Care, and Pathology.
