Quality & Risk

An integrated approach toward risk management is utilized, working in conjunction with other hospital departments, Safety (Environment of Care Committee), and Medical Executive Committee for Performance Improvement. The Director Quality/Risk Management works with Human Resources in the management of employee incidents; the Plant Operations Manager/Safety Officer managing issues of environmental safety; Health Information Services ensuring confidentiality of medical records and litigation; and Administration with settlement of claims and litigation. The Director Quality/Risk Management performs a leadership role as a resource person to staff, patients and families with issues relating to safety, loss control, litigation, claims management and is an active participant with regular attendance at the Safety Committee Meeting.

The Director Quality/Risk Management is available Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30 and is available on-call after hours as indicated along with Administrator for serious incident occurrences.
