Quality & Risk Management
•This program provides for the coordination of collecting internal and external data on potential hospital risk and reports the analysis and investigated findings of the hospital's actual and potential risk to the Governing Board, Medical Staff, Administration and the respective departments, programs and committees. The reporting mechanism is such that communication is reviewed by all key members of the organization in a timely manner. This program establishes and monitors methods to avoid, eliminate or reduce potential risks in patient care. This program incorporates the resources of the internal organization, insurance claims management, legal counsel, corporate authorities, external agencies and databases.
• The Risk Management Program is part of Rancho Specialty’s goal for providing the best possible care to its patients and a safe workplace for personnel. Because factors that may present potential liability problems may be present in any component of the hospital, the Director of Quality/Risk Management maintains communication with all departments within the hospital, including general and fiscal services, clinical departments and medical staff.
