Laboratory Department
The Clinical Laboratory at Rancho Specialty Hospital provides testing in the following clinical laboratory areas:
- Hematology / Coagulation
- Clinical Chemistry
- Immuno-Serology
- Immunohematology
- Special Chemistry
- Urinalysis
- Clinical Microbiology
The Laboratory is directed by a Pathologist with board certifications in Clinical and Anatomic Pathology. Testing personnel are all Clinical Laboratory Scientists, licensed by the State of California, and/or certified by the American Association of Clinical Pathologists.
A wide range of laboratory testing is available on-site to meet the specific needs of our patients and physicians. These tests provide diagnostic information to assist the medical staff in the diagnosis and treatment of our patients with a high level of care.
The Laboratory is an integral part of the hospital organization, participating in Infection Control and Quality Assessment/Improvement activities of the hospital.
Laboratory services are available for in-patients on a 24/7 basis as a primary focus. Outpatient services are also available for those pre-operative patients and outpatients referred to Rancho Specialty Hospital for laboratory testing. These services are provided between the hours of 07:00 AM and 5:00 PM Monday through Friday.
